My Reflection

       Many children were manipulated by the cartoons that they watched. When asked what they thought they did not think that they were being manipulated because the children grew up with it so they did not think twice. The media was doing this to the kids because they want them to think one way about things. In old cartoons the stereotypes were so obvious that when pointed out the kids could see them.

For example black people were always portrayed as the bad guy or the guy who steals things. Women were always thought of as very weak and they stay in the house and only cook, clean and take care of the children. Men were the strong, hardworking, money making guys. they thought they deserved everything and they they should get everything handed ti them. My friend in school was black and he was made fun of sometimes or he though he was going to do bad things even though he never did a bad thing in his life. I felt so bad because he never would hurt a fly.
